Laura Tach, Elizabeth Day, Anna Steinkraus, and Juliana Garcia discussed their research-practice partnership addressing the opioid epidemic’s impact on vulnerable caregivers and their children at a Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research Talks at Twelve event. The team members presented research documenting the extent of this problem—both nationally and here in New York—as well as promising approaches to support families and improve child well-being for those who struggle with substance misuse. They also discussed lessons learned regarding how to build and sustain effective research-practice partnerships.
