Substance Misuse Program Database
We completed a systematic review of the intervention literature, scanning over 500 programs that serve families dealing with substance misuse. This database contains information on the most promising of these programs. Read our tips below to make the most of your search. For additional support understanding, choosing, and implementing effective interventions, read our practitioner guide to evidence-based programs.
Tips for Searching the Database
To see all of the programs, click “Search” without entering anything in the “Program” field or selecting anything from the drop-down menus.
To look for a particular program, begin typing in the “Program” field and the name(s) of any programs in the database that match your search will appear.
To select more than one option from a drop-down menu, hold down the Control (Ctrl) key on your keyboard while you click on the desired options.
To clear a drop-down menu once you have made one or more selections from it, click “Clear selection(s)” in the drop-down menu or refresh the page by clicking your browser’s reload button.
You cannot use your browser’s forward or back buttons to navigate the database. To run another search, click “Search Again” in the upper-left corner of the results page or a program profile page. Access program profiles by clicking “View Details” on the results page. To go back to your search results from a program profile, click “BACK” at the bottom of the page.
